Peptides for Allergies
Peptides for allergies covers two very different types of study and treatment. Drug companies build allergen peptides to retrain the immune system. Researchers are interested in Thymosin Alpha-1, a peptide that signals immune cells.

What Is Thymosin Alpha-1?
Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28 amino acid peptide. It comes from the thymus, the gland that trains immune cells. It nudges T cells instead of blocking histamine, which is a different part of the system than an allergy pill. Several countries approve it for hepatitis B. The United States does not so there it stays a research compound.

Does It Help With Allergies?
Current status – not proven. A 2018 review argued that thymosin peptides might help some allergy and asthma types. That was a case for research (not the result).
The stronger allergy data sits with peptide immunotherapy. During this process, tiny pieces of an allergen are given to teach the body tolerance. That is a drug company program, not a vial.

What this evidence does not cover
No trial has tested Thymosin Alpha-1 against hay fever, hives, or food allergy. Nothing here is FDA approved for allergy. Severe allergies can be an emergency, so consult your physician for FDA approved treatments. Epinephrine and an allergist are the answer there, not a vial. Research vials are not treatment for allergies.

What Does Thymosin Alpha-1 Cost?
Thymosin Alpha-1 runs $50 to $90 for a 10mg vial. It is longer than most research peptides, so it costs more to make.
Prices well below that range usually mean skipped testing or short-filled vials.
